The Institute for Feed Education and Research works closely with members of the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) to promote the long-term viability of the U.S. animal food industry labor force. In coordination with the AFIA Equipment Manufacturers Committee (EMC), IFEEDER encourages students to consider careers in feed or grain sciences via the EMC Scholarship Fund.
Five of the scholarships are supported by the AFIA EMC through donations during the annual AFIA Equipment Manufacturers Conference. Attendees raise funds through a golf tournament and other donations for the EMC Scholarship Fund. Two of the scholarships are supported by IFEEDER through contributions to the effort.
